The best of what I learned about voice came from lessons I received from an extraordinary teacher – my father. He received outstanding vocal training at Princeton Theological Seminary and successfully used it all his life. The two of us spent many hours discussing, analyzing and practicing strong traditional and very effective strategies for oral communication.
Experience
Directed and coached drama and speech activities. From Shakespeare to contemporary dramatists, from Spanish tragedy to Neil Simon. From oral interpretation and original oratory to open mic poetry reading. Voice-overs for various TV and radio productions.
Taught high school and college level speech, acting, oral interpretation, theatre survey, play production, play directing, composition. Narrator, symphony production of Peter and the Wolf.
